小女儿的大一生活
小女去年8月去外州上大学，带着憧憬，开始了崭新独立的生活。
她大学第一年修了11门课，第一学期5门，第二学期6门，最后成绩，10门课是A，一门是A-。成绩虽然不完美，却是她自己一点一滴努力的结果。其中有门语言课，是当过记者的印度裔教授教课，此教授要求极其严格，写作的assignment特别多，每次作业30人的班只1-2个能得A，大部分人都是C以下，小女虽然每次都花了很多时间来做作业，但还是有很多C，让她很frustrated。临近最后final，她觉得不应该象高中英文课那样给自已留下遗憾。高中她所有课都是A，但英文是B+，她完全可以去找老师争取个A-，因为她只差0.1分就是A-。她这次决定去找上课的教授，结果教授认为她给的分没有错。她又去找系主任交涉，系主任说有什么需要修改的包括成绩的计算也只能从下学期开始。女儿想，下学期我不修这门课了，跟我又有什么关系？她不死心，要求系主任及上课教授来个三方会谈，会谈中主任虽然偏向教授方，但主任对小女儿的主要观点并未反驳，即同样的assignment，别的班老师大部分给A，而小女儿班大部分都是C，这对小女儿班同学明显不公平。最后的final ，小女儿虽然成绩不错，但整门课的成绩算下来差一分才能得到A-，他立即给授课教授写了一份email，好好地赞美了她一番，并强调她在她的课里很努力，学了好多东西，最后希望她能给她final成绩提高一分。小女本来对此不报什么希望了，但老师最后还是给了她A-，算是本学年最后的惊喜。
新冠已经在全美肆虐两年多了，病例时高时低，让人难以适从。小女儿圣诞节回家跟高中两阳性同学有两次以上密切接触，但都没有被传染。后来新冠又大流行，其大学推迟了20多天开学。开学后，今年2月份小女儿同宿舍4个学生除她外的其它3位都先后感染，但这个时候大家都已不把新冠当回事了，隔离几天一切照常。小女儿有这么多新冠的密切接触还没有感染，除了庆幸，我们开玩笑说，她是刀枪不入。可要来的还是迟早会来，小女儿从暑假开始去紧急照护中心上班，第三天就感染了新冠，犯病过程真的就是感冒的翻版，但这个新冠的经历应该会让小女儿终身难忘。
小女儿高中一年级就在红十字会做义工，最后高中毕业时做到了红十字青年会8个城市的区域主席。现在美国年轻一代受的教育决定了他们要追求社会正义(Social Justice)，他们也在现实中努力实践，但理想很丰满，现实很骨感，不管怎么，年轻一代的追求永远没有错。一脉相承，小女儿进入大学后，参加了2个志工组织并担任officer，一个是帮助无家可归的流浪汉，另一个是收养中国小孩的美国家长(绝大部分是白人)组织的传承中国文化聚会，小女儿常常给那些被收养的中国小孩讲中国节日及风俗习惯，教他们一些中文。小女儿做得很认真，常常问我们或自己去查资料，learn by doing，她也增长了不少中国人文地理的知识。小女儿没想到的是，大学所在城市有那么多的被收养的中国小孩，而收养他们的父母对让孩子们能传承中国文化都是那么的热衷。
小女儿去年选择了这所middle of nowhere 的大学，主因是她想学医，而这所大学是她选择premed所能做的最佳选择。上学以后，学校确实没有让她失望，除了学校优美的环境，同学和老师都很友善，她在校园的生活很惬意。冬去春来，第一年大学生活很快就这样结束了。去年底，她决定去临床实践一下，看看她对跟病人打交通是否有兴趣，对学医是否有passion。于是她就申请了暑假到一家连锁的紧急照护(Urgent Care) 中心工作，这家中心很快就同意录用了她。同时她亦申请并被批准了暑假在医学院儿科系做医学研究，做医学研究这份工大部分时间是work from home。就这样这暑期开始她就打了两份工，按她的说法，在临床中心工作就像发现了一个新世界，让她每天能学到跟课堂上不一样的知识，尤其能帮助别人，让她非常开心快乐。这个月初两份工都给她发了工资，银行账上一下增加了不少钱，电话里她开玩笑说，我挣了好多好多钱啊！其实挣钱多少无所谓，再多的钱也难买小女儿的开心快乐。

I wear size 8 shoe -orderd size 8 -normal width .I m 5'7" -130 lbs . They fit perfect . Little snug at first as are all new shoes . Hope this helps with concerning ordering a size larger issue .

Excellent products. Sizing is a little small, even for the usual DHgate conversion. If you would normal order two sizes up, order three sizes up instead.
